How do I…?

Everything below is written for the person doing the job — no jargon. Jump to your role: Parents · Stat keepers · Coaches · Athletic directors

For parents & fans

You don't need an account, an app, or a password. Ever.

How do I watch a game?

Open the link your coach or school shared — that's it. The score and every play update on their own while the game is on. Bookmark the page; it's the same link all season.

Why isn't my kid's name showing on the public page?

Because you haven't said yes yet. Nothing about an athlete is shown publicly until their guardian chooses what may appear — everything, some things, or nothing. Ask your coach for your consent link, tap it, and decide. Your choice takes effect immediately and you can change it any time. That decision belongs to you, not the school, and not us.

The page says "Reconnecting" — is it broken?

No. That flashes for a second while the live connection starts, and on weak stadium wifi the page quietly falls back to checking every few seconds. The score still moves.

For stat keepers

You're the most important person in the product, and your whole training takes one minute.

How do I sign in?
  1. Open the link your coach texted you.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Enter your 4-digit PIN. You're in — no account, no email.
How do I score a game?
  1. Tap Go live when the game starts — parents can watch from that second.
  2. Tap the play, then tap the kid. Yards when it asks. That's the whole job.
  3. For passes, pin the quarterback once — it saves you a tap on every play.
  4. Use Who has the ball to show possession on the parent page (one tap, optional).
  5. Tap End game when it's over, and confirm the final score.
I tapped the wrong thing. How do I fix it?

Scroll to the Play-by-play table at the bottom. Every play has an Undo — not just the last one. Undo reverses the play exactly, score included, and shows a Redo if you change your mind. Nothing is permanent, so never be afraid to tap.

I ended the game by mistake!

Tap Reopen gameon the scoreboard — it's right there on the final screen. Fix whatever needs fixing, then end it again.

I forgot my PIN.

Ask your coach — they can set you a new one in ten seconds from their console.

For coaches

Sign in at /console/login with the email your school invited. Everything for your team lives under one roof: Roster · Games · Keepers & PINs.

How do I get my roster in?

Open your team → Roster. Three ways, all equal:

  1. Photograph a roster — point your phone at the printed program or a whiteboard. We read it; you check every row before anything saves (tap any cell to fix it, toggle positions, add anyone missed).
  2. Upload a CSV — any spreadsheet with a name column.
  3. Paste a list — straight from Notes or an email.

Imported players stay offpublic pages until each guardian consents — that's automatic and it protects you.

How do I add a stat keeper?
  1. Team → Keepers & PINs.
  2. Type their name, give them a 4-digit PIN, tap Create keeper.
  3. Text them the keeper link on that page. Done — there's even a printable cheat sheet.
How do I create a game, and how does it go live?

Team → GamesAdd a game. The keeper takes it live from their screen with Go live when kickoff happens, and ends it with End game. Each game card shows exactly the actions that make sense for its state — upcoming, live, or final.

How do parents get the live link?

Share your team's public page once — the Public page button is in your console header. The live tab lights up by itself whenever a game is on. One link, all season, no app.

How do consent requests reach guardians?

Team → Consent & privacy. Every athlete has a private guardian link you can send by text or email. The guardian taps it and chooses what may be public. You never have to argue about it — the choice is theirs, recorded, and changeable any time.

For athletic directors

You run the school; coaches run their teams. Your console covers the school-wide pieces.

How do I add a coach?

Console → Coaches & staff→ invite by email, scoped to their teams. A copyable sign-in link appears immediately — text it to them if the email doesn't land. They tap it, set a password, and they're in.

How do I add a sport or team?

Console → Sports & teams. Check what you run — every sport works on day one. Sports without full stat modules still get schedules, live scores, and rosters; that's a feature, not a gap.

How do I set our colors and crest?

Console → Site & settings. Two colors and a crest make every public page yours — the preview shows exactly what parents see, and we automatically keep text readable no matter your colors.

What do I tell a worried parent about privacy?

"Nothing about your kid is public until you say so." Every athlete starts hidden; guardians choose what appears; under-13 stays private unless a guardian opts in; no ads, no trackers, ever. The printable one-pager at /privacy is written for exactly this conversation.
